At the age of 12 or thereabouts I showed an interest in photography. I somehow got hold of an old 35mm and played around with that. For Christmas I was given a new Praktika MTL3. This fantastic but clunky machine last a few years until my brother gave me his old Pentax ME super SE. Or maybe I borrowed it and just didn't give it back. This still sits on my CD rack, but the back keeps popping open. In October 2022, while on holiday in Nice, we visited an exhibition of images by Vincent Munier, where we also watched La Panthere des Neiges. This inspired me to encourage my two daughters to pursue an interest in wildlife photography. It turned out that I was the only one interested, but it gave me the excuse to buy a secondhand DSLR, telephoto lens and capture some hares.

back in the 80's my eldest brother recorded two albums onto a cassette. On the box he wrote "little creatures / remain in light". In my memory the two names merged into one and I thought that it would make a good name for this website.
